Daily Orchard Tours

Cherry Orchard Design

The orchards are open 7 days a week, throughout the open season which usually runs from March to October.

Guided Walking Tours run at 11am, 1pm and 2:30pm 7 days a week (not applicable on festival and event days)  and there is no need to book, just turn up in enough time to purchase your ticket and join a tour. (During open season March – October)

Our knowledgeable guides will  take you on a journey of discover form spring blossom to fruit filled harvest. Your guides answer your questions and awaken your taste bud with sample of the fruit (in season) plus helping you learn all about the National Fruit Collection and it’s over 4000 varieties.

Tractor Trailer Tours Enjoy a tractor trailer tour of the National Friut Collection led by expert guides. Perfect for a relaxed day out for for visitors who are less mobile. Tractor trailer tour run May – October at 2:30 every Thursday (During season May – October)

Self Guided Walks can be taken at any time all year round between 10am and 4pm and require an orchard pass that can be purchased from our gift shop on arrival where you can also pick a map guide.

With your Orchard Pass you can spend as much time as you want wandering the Brogdale pathways & orchards at your own pace all ear round. (picking the fruit is not permitted on a self guided walk)

Enjoy a walk around the beautiful orchards and explore the Brogdale Marketplace shops & cafe

Guided Orchard Tours

On a guided orchard tour you will be in the hands of some of the most knowledgeable people in Kent. You will have a chance to ask the guide questions and they will pick some of the best fruit for you to try, with over 4,000 different varieties, you are never short of something tasty to enjoy!

Self Guided Walks

Self guided walking tours are available at any time of the day all year round and you can spend as little or as much time wandering the Brogdale pathways and enjoying the Kent countryside. If you would like to try fruit then we would recommend a guided tour.

PLEASE NOTE: Tasting and picking of the fruit is NOT allowed on self-guided tours. Chemical spraying and scientific crop monitoring take place in the orchards.

Strictly no dogs allowed in the orchards at any time

Tractor Trailer Tours

Discover the National Fruit Collection form the comfort of the Brogdale trailer on an afternoon tour. Our expert guides will talk you through the National Fruit Collection while you ride the tractor trailer and enjoy the view. A perfect way to discover the orchards if you are less able to walk the long way.

Tractor trailer tours depart at 2:30 on a Thursday (during season may – October)

Cream Tea & Tractor Tours are also available to book during the season. Enjoy a fascinating tour of the National Fruit Collection orchards before relaxing in out rustic rooms with homemade scones and tea.

Children’s Orchard Trail

Follow the map on a trail of discovery and learn all about the orchards, fruit trees and nature using your fun Orchard Discovery Book. Specially created to be educational and fun children can gather clues, answer questions, learn fascinating facts and discover the National Fruit Collection at Brogdale.

The Children’s Discovery Book & Trail is available all year round as part of a self guided walk exploring the Brogdale orchards or added fun when joining a guided tour. Pick up a Orchard Discovery Book at the tours & tickets shop when you arrive.
