About the instructor:

Nicola is just crazy about chickens. She started keeping a few hens in her back garden 10 years ago and when one of them went broody, she bought a few fertilised eggs and it all went from there. Now she has a 10 acre farm and around 100 chickens. Nicola specialises in breeding beautiful birds that lay amazing eggs with coloured shells. She has a breeding flock which has built up over several years. Hens are raised to sell and cockerels to eat. Nicola is passionate about encouraging poultry keeping on a domestic scale, for the sake of the hens, the taste of the produce, the benefits for the environment and for the fun of it.
