Strawberry Fair at Brogdale celebrates the first fruit of the season with a English country fair for all the family to enjoy. Discover rare & unusual strawberry variety’s grown right her in Kent including our own Brogdale Delicious strawberry, sip a glass of Pimms in meadow or enjoy a slice of strawberry cake in the tearoom while listening to live music. Little ones can get stuck into crafts, discover the fairy trail, traditional games & more. Meet the animals, take a ride on the miniature railway and have a go at archery. Learn and discover with FREE talks, demonstrations and cooking demos. All set in traditional classic English country fair with a Strawberry twist.
The Brogdale Strawberries
Sample the delights of the strawberry with a dazzling selection of rare & unusual Strawberry’s waiting to be discovered and sampled. Taste & buy a strawberry’s varieties grown right here in Kent including the Brogdale Delicious, the tiny alpine Reine Des Vallees and Mariguette. Be delighted by the Snow White strawberry, a white fleshed red pip strawberry that stands out from the crowd. Plus many more sure to delight your taste buds.

Traditional Fair Games & Archery
Have a go at traditional fun fair games on the festival field and get completive. Play all day and see if you can win!
Take aim at the Archery and see if you can hit that target with a bow & arrow.

Strawberry Children’s Fun & Crafts
Little ones can get stuck into strawberry creative crafts and get their face painted as a fantastic creature or have a bounce on the bouncy castle assault course.
Discover where all the magical strawberry fairy’s have hidden their doors the fairy kingdom and the Strawberry fairy trail through Brogdale.
Strawberry Tearoom & Pimms Bar
Enjoy a spot of English afternoon tea in the Strawberry Tearoom with a slice of delicious homemade strawberry cake, scones and more yummy delights like summery strawberry Eton mess.
Sip refreshing & delicious glass of Pimms in the Pimms Bar while listening to the traditional street organ music in the sunshine, the perfect complement to all the strawberry fair fun.
Cooking Demonstrations & Specialist Talks
Learn at Brogdale with a packed day of free talks and cooking demonstrations. Discover all you need to know about beekeeping with Canterbury Beekeepers in the beekeepers area or strawberry growing at home and the history of the strawberry with the Brogdale experts in Brogdale Marketplaces garden centre GROW.
Village on the Hill will be demonstrating how to make yummy “one Punnet” strawberry jam plus strawberry cordial for the kids and strawberry vodka for the adults.
Canterbury Baking school will be demonstrating Scones, waffles & artisan bread baking with a strawberry twist.
Kids can join in the fun to with a children’s cookery session, make some yummy strawberry & fruit kebabs to enjoy.
Live fairground street organ
Bringing all the fun of the fair to Brogdale. Pedrosa the fairground street organ will be on display and playing it’s delightful musical tunes all day for you to enjoy.

Say hello to animal Corner with Carlos the Goat & Friends. Carlos is a firm family favorite so don’t miss the chance to meet him!
Visit the Happy Endings Sanctuary Donkeys, these friendly chaps are just waiting to get to know you.
Guided Orchard Tours
join a guided walking or tractor trailer tour of the Brogdale Orchards and National Fruit Collection. Let by our expert & knowledgeable guides you will explore the orchards as they a begin to develop the first fruit of the season.
Bring a Picnic
Bring a picnic or enjoy the freshly baked goodies and refreshments or a glass of Pimms. Brogdale has unlimited free parking, disabled toilets and a Children’s play park.
Craft Stalls & Food
Discover a selection of stalls selling delightful crafts and handmade goodies plus local produce and food to eat on the day.
Tuck into ice creams, strawberry cakes & luxury doughnuts, plus yummy homemade pies , breads, pickles, chutneys, pizzas and scrummy hot chilli & gourmet hot dogs al from our local food producers.
Take a ride on the magical and quaint Faversham Miniature Railway. Kids love to ride the tiny train through the orchards especially as the cherry & fruit are forming on the trees.

Vintage tractors, Farm Machinery & Steam Engines
A fantastic showing of vintage horticultural machinery including ploughs, hoes and tractors plus fascinating standing stem engines will be on display. A wonderful way to see the development of horticultural methods and steam engines through the ages and ask the collectors questions.

Exclusive the the Brogdale Fine Fruits Shop delicious ice cream made by Simply Ice Cream using Brogdale’s own strawberry’s and fruit.
Give it a try and enjoy with your picnic in the meadow, yummy!
Sit back and enjoy some traditional English Entertainment. Dead Horse Morris troupe will be performing lively traditional Morris dances.
